Our ESG Approach
AREIT is committed to sustainability, following Ayala Land’s ESG practices, focused on four key areas: (1) Site Resilience, (2) Pedestrian Mobility and Transit Connectivity, (3) Resource Efficiency, and (4) Local Economic Development. These areas aim to address climate change, enhance urban mobility, conserve resources, and promote economic growth.
These sustainability priorities were identified in a 2014 assessment and remain relevant today, especially in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. They guide AREIT’s operations, helping manage sustainability risks and create value for the organization, the environment, and society. Notably, AREIT places a strong emphasis on resource efficiency and local economic development.
While AREIT’s Sponsor handles property construction, development, and master planning, AREIT and its property management arm, AREIT Property Managers, Inc. (APMI), handles property operations and maintenance post-acquisition. They ensure alignment with Ayala Land’s sustainability goals, with Ayala Property Management Corporation (APMC) handling the physical aspects of property management.
